Tree Climbing & Aerial Rescue – 5 day Course (preparation for NPTC unit 002013)

Aerial Cutting of Trees with a Chainsaw Using Free-fall Techniques – 2 Day Course (preparation for NPTC unit 002108)

Instruction in Accessing a Tree Using a Rope and Harness, Aerial Tree Rescue Operations and using a chainsaw with a rope and harness in a tree. Suitable for those with little or no experience, followed by assessments on a separate day for an NPTC Certificate of Competence in Units 002013 & 002108.

 

Course Outline

Regulations and industry best practice
Working in the tree crown
Starting procedures
Correct handling of the saw
Accurate use of the saw to cut lightweight and medium weight branches

Training is a legal requirement.

The provision & Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER) require employers to provide adequate training to ensure that chainsaws and related equipment are operated only by employees who have received appropriate training.

The training is in preparation for an N.P.T.C. assessment for Unit 002013 held on a

    Hello. I was wondering how much this Tree Climbing course is and also where is your nearest instructor to Liverpool? I have my basic felling up to 15”, cross cutting and maintenance.
